Hi Everyone! I admit a slight fixation on a moon image for my Halloween cards :) Here's a card showing how to make silhouettes from your punches by using black card stock.
To make this card.
8.5" x 5.5" Rich Razzelberry cardstock115316 folded in half for the card base and inked in black.
Moon is made using the 2 1/2" circle punch (120906 available Sept. 1) from Daffodil Delight 119683 and is inked with a little each of black 104479 and razzelberry 115658.
Images punched out of black cardstock121045 using Bitty Bat119279, Two Step Owl 118074 and the branch from the Two Step Bird117191,
Happy Halloween from Teeny Tiny Wishes 115370 in black ink on Daffila Delight and punched out using the Word Window punch119857 and inked in black.
Waffle Paper (120985) is the 'ribbon' and is available Sept 1 in the Holdiay mini. Waffle paper is somewhat in the idea of raffia only thinner and comes on a rolled sheet. It's a great interest/dimension builder!
As I was getting the item numbers I noticed that the colors were from the Brights Collection (p166). Don't forget SU has assortment cardstock as well as the Stampin' Spots inks. When I first started getting SU items, I ordered the assorted packs and stampin' spots to not only build a little color-coordinatinng inventory but also to see what colors I really liked using prior to buying a pack or pad of just that color. Something to consider if you've been thinking about or wanting to try SU paper..
I got some new Big Shot dies (hurray!) and will be playing with fabric and other materials so I'm sure I'll have some posting updates to show you. Happy Crafting! ~Dee
