Build a Blossom Candle Flames

P1050748
Hi Everyone! Another card inspired by another demonstrator. TFS Trina Pham!

Here's a use for our Build a Blossom Stamps (121923 wood and 121994 clear) and Blossom Petal Punch 121808...use for candle flames! 3 of the 4 petal images from the punch make ideal flames when you turn the pointy side up! All 3 can be used and each take on a different personality. I used the smallest petal with one of the coordining stamps. This card is a great one for using up your scraps too! With the exception of the card base, all my pieces came from my scraps.

How to make the flame: Stamp image with Peach Parfait 119783 in on Daffodil Delight card stock 119683.  I trimmed my card stock to about a  3/4" strip then stamped the image to line up right with punch orientation. Pretty much straight up and down with pointy side up. Wala! flames.

To make candle sticks: cut seven 1/2" strips of leftover scrap designer paper. Greenhouse Gala shown 117167.  I used Dotto 103305 removable adhesive so I could reposition the candles as I got my laying the way I wanted.

I started with a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Whisper White  100730 square to build my candles on. I worked from left to right to place my candles and trimmed off about 1/8" on the right side to even up with my last candle. You may not need to. Layer on 3  3/4" x 3 3/4" square of Pear Pizazz 119795.

Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Whisper White and run front of card through the Big Shot113439 using Elegant Lines embossing folder 119277.

With Pear Pizazz ink 119784, stamp senitment from Curly Cute (117014 wood, 120510 clear).

This is another stamp set/punch combo that is in the current Occasion Mini ending April 30. As with the cupcake punch, I bet the Blossom Petals punch will be a carry over. But again, I don't know that for sure.

Enjoy making candle flames using your Blossom Petals punch and stamps. Happy Crafting!~ Dee

Cupcake Punch - Punch Art Hot Air Balloon Card

P1050749Hi Everyone! This card was CASED by Cheralee Filion. One of the perks about being a demonstrator is the access to tens of thousands of idea starters from fellow demonstrators! I've been wanting to use the icing image on the Build a Cupcake Punch 121807 as a cloud for a long time and finally sat down and make something. The hot air ballon basket was made using an image Create a Cupcake (121915 wood mount, 121982 clear mount) and punched out using our cupcake punch liner image. To make the background clouds, punch the icing top image out of scrap. Lay down on background and with a sponge dauber, take blue ink around the edge of the 'cloud'. Lift up and repeat until your background is made. Would a video tutorial help? Let me know & I'll get one posted. Both the Cupcake Punch and Create a Cupcake are in the Occasions Mini ending this month. While I don't know for sure...I bet the punch will be a carry over item but you never know for sure!
Other items used:
Stamp Set: Word Play (120308 wood, 120651 clear)
Card stock
Whisper White:
- 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" for card base. Cut 3 3/4" x 5" for inked cloud images
Pacific Point 111350 cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
Soft Suede for basket 115318
Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight 119683 and Real Red 102482 used for hot air balloon.
Ink: I used a fond farewell color that was close to Pacific Point.
Punch: 2" x 1-3/8" Oval 119859
Accessories: Linen Thread 104199 and Stampin' Foam Dot Dimentionals 104430

I think this would make a nice gradulation card with the sentiment used.
Happy Crafting!~

Easter

P1050712Hi Everyone! What a wonderful Easter we had!! Above is some of the things I took to my sister's. To the left is the Top Note Bunny bags I made for my niece and nephews. Pink for the girls and brown for the boys. Fun Flower Die flowers, homemade caramel corn and a foral arrangement I made from flowers from my garden.  I set a smaller vase onto a little egg sceen I made. Jeff went to Michigan to do some guy things with nephew Jacob who will be moving this summer. They enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and target shooting. Here are some family picture shares.
P1050737

As silly as this might be, we brought hats this year to our ladies' picture. It is in the spirit of the Royal Wedding (hense the tea cups- english tea) since hats are required. left to right: me, Micaela, Karla, Mary, Aunt Sharon, Marlona and mom is seated.

P1050722 We are a big card playing family. Euker is always played and Marlona taught us a new game called "Up Yours". Totally a game of luck and so much fun.  A game all ages can play . New faces of my dad and Stefano's head.

I hope you had a nice Easter and Happy Crafting!~ Dee

Whew!

Hi Everyone! Today's post is a few shares. 1)I've been a baking queen today getting ready for Easter. I've made a triple layer carrot cake, a dense chocolate cake with a fudge-like frosting and I just finished up my 2nd batch of home-made caramel corn.  My husband always says my side of the family has one meat, one hot side and the rest is sweets! My sister Marlona is hosting tomorrow at 1pm. Share 2, my niece Micaela is the youngest on my side of the family...and she turned 18 today! Oh my...my baby is 18. Where does the time go?  Share 3) This am I went to the nail salon and tried the new Shalac (sp?) manicure. (I got a french manicure style) It's suppose to last 2-3 weeks. She said some go 4 weeks. I put it through the paces today with keeping up with dishes while baking. Other french mannies  would not have stood up to all that pots and pan dishwashing. I bet some of you can relate! Not a chipped paint tip in site! Take care  & Happy Crafting! ~Dee
