Hi Everyone! OMGoodness I'm all about making my own pleated ribbon embellishment! I was at a craft store over the weekend and noticed all the embellishments that I couldn't help but think "We can make those using our SU items." Many of these embellishments packs were ~$4 for 4 do-das. So I went into my crafting space and in no time had this flower. Look for a video tutorial later today!
It uses the new 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon in Blushing Bride 125570. (p 12 in the new Occassions Mini).
For the Pleated Ribbon: Pleated satin ribbon, Sticky Strip (104294) and the 1-3/4" Circle punch 119850. The new Large Pearl Basic Jewels 125577 is the center jewel. (p. 26 in the OM). To make-
Punch circle with scrap whisper white card stock. Cover with Sticky Strip. Starting on the outer edge, put the ribbon on the base, spiraling inward. You may need to tack the very center with Tombo Multipurpose glue. Adhere Large Pearl to the center...That's it!
You can also use Sticky Sheets (p 216 in main catty) so you don't have to make strips on your circle. Simply run through your Big Shot or punch.
