Hi Everyone! Here's a Zinnia Punch Art flower. I had it shown in my Watering Can post a few days ago. I used punched images from the Blossom Petal Builder Punch 121808. You can make so many different things with the leaves and blossom shapes that are in this punch. Other items used:
Tools: 1" Circle Punch Sponge Daubers Paper Piercer Toothpick
Punch and ink petals and leaves. Use piercer to roll and shape petals and leaves. Punch 1" circle out of calypso coral. Apply glue on the circle and place petals around circle. Build up the flower as full as you want starting with the larger petals then finish with the smaller. You can keep curling the petals until you get the fullest or look you want. Let the flower set while Tombo dries.
Hi Everyone! Day 3 of the Blog Hop already :) This card features 3 of the new 2012-2014 In Colors of Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse as well as the Designer Paper Patio Party. It's a hello and goodbye card for me. Hello! to the new In Colors but a big goodbye to the old Butterfly Punch and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set - both retiring at the end of the month. They will remain in my personal stampin' collection. And they were my first Stamp and Punch love fest!
It's a pop-up card! At convention last year, Shelli (Shelli Gardner, co-founder of SU) showed this super-easy way to make a pop-up card. Before that, I always did a lot of special cutting on the inside paper liner to make a pop up! The trick is to make a little 4 sided strip and adhere one side to the top inside card and adhere an adjacent side to the bottom inside. Mine are all 1/4" wide strips. One can vary the width and length to get all sorts of different combinations.
3 strips of Whisper White all 1/4" wide. *(2) cut at 4 1/2". Score at 1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 4 - these are the taller ones on the side *(1) cut at 5". Score at 1/2", 1-1/2", 2-1/2", 3-1/2", 4 1/2" middle.
Let me know if you want me to make a quick video tutorial on how to make pop-up cards!
The new In Colors are:
Items used in card -
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly Make a Cake (mini butterflies image) Tiny Tags
Paper: Whisper White card stock Patio Party Midnight Muse card stock Raspberry Ripple card stock Summer Starfruit card stock
Ink: Stampin' Write 2012-2014 In Color Markers Baja Breeze
Tools: Butterfly Punch (current style) Boho Blossom Punch Simply Scored Scoring Tool Big Shot Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder

I used the broad side end of the markers to color the stamp images in the new in colors. I will show in tomorrow's posting how to make the flower in yesterday's Watering Can sample.
This video is a family share...my great nephew Taylen. His dad, my nephew, tagged this the No Nap Escape. Taylen is such a joyful little boy and this video makes my heart sing and my face smile.
Happy Crafting! ~ Dee
And here's the Blog Hoppers! Enjoy the last day of the hop :)
Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying the HOP! I used the new Petite Purse Die (125606) to make this cute little watering can. This die was part of the Summer Smooches and will be available again June 1st!
Below is a Video Tutorial on how to make the Watering Can. The Hop listing is below too, so make sure to check out everyone's projects :) Happy Crafting!~ Dee
Hi Everyone! We have another Blog Hop going on today through May 30th :) Join us each day as we show some Sneak Peaks from the upcoming 2012-13 Catalog that's just around the corner on June 1st.
Above is the NEW stamp set Papaya Collage ( w126610, c126612). It's a romatic stamp set and I love this frame image. I stamped the image then took my 1-1/4" Square Punch (119865) to punch out the inside of the frame and layered it over top a stamped background. You can find how to make a STEP card here, and my flower rosettes here. (I used the 1*3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (119854) for the flowers above.) Other Items Used:
Paper: Very Vanilla Pink Pirouette Wisteria Wonder Pear Pizzaz (Retiring at the end of the month)
Ink: Pretty in Pink Old Olive (stamped off, then stamped without reinking - known as the stamping off technique) Wisteria Wonder
Hi Everyone! You're invited to my Stampin' Open House on Saturday, June 2nd! Join me in viewing the new 2012-2013 Stampin' UP! Catalog with some Make-n-Takes, door prizes, Mystery Hostess Drawing and more! Online Open House Special too.
Hi Everyone! Here's the second card we made at our Creative Cafe' get-together & another upcoming stamp set, framelit and designer paper sneak peek on the SU goodies available June 1st!
Most are part of the Comfort Cafe' Product Suite. Forever with You (w 126725, c 126727) stamp, Comfort Cafe' Designer Paper 126894 and Apothecary Accents Framelits 127003. This the same DP paper that my Masculine May (see my post 2 days ago) is part of.
AND there is Designer Fabric in this suite! Comfort Cafe' DF (126894) was used to make this craft fair/gift Fun Flower Die (121812) pin flower.
My new word with using my Stampin' UP! items is EFFORTLESS. How easy is this gift giving combo?! Top Note Die ( 113463) is the topper and the 4 x 6 Cellophane Bags (102757)make the gift look finished.
There are 4 Designer Fabrics that are part of a product suite. Those that are not part of a suite still coordinate effortlessly (warned you now! wink) with SU ink, card stock and some stamps :)
Hi Everyone! Betsy's Blossoms (w 126004, c 126006) is a new stamp set available June 1st. It has six (6) images in the set. All but one is somewhere on this card :) Stampin' UP! has many stamp sets that coordinate with paper and embellishments. Floral District Designer Paper 126919 (June 1st) has images that match this set.
The new stamp and framelits combo of Itty Bitty Banners (w126255, c 126257) and Bitty Banners Framelits 129267 (both June 1st) is another stamp and embellish coordination.
Stampin' UP! helps us look good!!! Others don't have to know how easy it can be to create ;)
This was one of two cards we made at our Creative Cafe' team meeting. Please join us at our next team meeting. email me if you are interested firstname.lastname@example.org!
Thanks for taking a look at this Sneak Peek card and Happy Crafting!~ Dee
Hi Everyone! I think our team swaps are so much fun and each month I can't wait to see what designs the Creative Cafe' members dream up. Here are their Masculine May Swap cards.
Here's Linda's card! Some of my all-time favorite elements on this card! Everyday Enchantment DP (from Sale-a-bration), folder embossing and the Bird Builder Punch. AND I really like the use of the mini brads for corner accents and the bird's eye. So clever!
Also, Linda's grandson Zack made me a Thank You card...thanks Zack!!! It's very special to me :)
Lisa does some Amazing coloring techniques in this card. Beautiful! She is an embossing queen!
I love how Davette blocked two different patterns from Twitterpated DP using the Top Note die. Brilliant and you could make a 2nd card with the opposites! She's a master at coloring images too!
Our June swap theme is Patriotic! If this looks like fun, please join my "team". We are mainly a group of crafters with a passion for stampin'! Whether you are near or far, you can be as connected as you like :)
