Hi Everyone! Mason or repurposed gas jars (like pickle, etc..) make wonderful "bags" or containers for your goodies! Here's a little Jar Decor for an idea starter. Snow Flurry Bigz Die 127813 and Crumb Cake Scallop Tulle Ribbon 127840 along with Glimmer Paper and Brads really glam up this jar filled with peppermint patties.
Our family plays an exchange game at Christmas, we've started a new version by picking a theme each year for our $5 gift. (it's just for a fun activity, thus the low $) Last year was a 'mug' theme. This year, a jar. Fill the jar with something for the exchange. Silly, yummy, or clever! My peppermint patty jar most likely will find it's way to my Dad...peppermints are his favorite!
Your homemade chex mix, fudge, etc...will certainly taste better (LOL...okay mine would taste better) when packaged in this glimmery, glamerous jar.
Other items used:
Paper: Red Glimmer, Silver Glimmer, Champagne Glimmer, Real Red card stock
Accessories: Glimmer Brads, Round Ice Brads
Tools: Big Shot die-cutting machine, 2-1/2 Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Stampin' Pierce Mat
Adhesive: Tombo Multipurpase Glue
The 2-1/2" circle punch is a perfect circle for the regular size mason jar lids.
The glimmer paper, with all its sparkly glory, resists adhesives on the top. For me, I found that using glimmer brads make for an easy assembly of the layers. Pierce layers using the paper piercer on the pierce mat.
