Fun Flowers Clean and Simple Scrapbook Page

DSCN2951Hi Everyone!  Like me on Facebook! I know have a Create with Dee Facebook Page...thanks!

I participated in a scrapbook layout challenge. The sketch looked very close to this page! Fun Flowers die 121812 made for easy work to create the flowers. I don't know why I get weirded out about making scrapbook pages...I really like this one!

To make:
Base page - Sycamore Street Designer Paper 127540 - Free Sale-a-bration choice with $50 purchase>
Whisper White card stock 100730 cut at 6-1/2" x 4-1/2"
Summer Starfruit card stock cut at 6-1/4" x 4-1/4" *
Use Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit card stock to make flowers in die. *
* 2012-2014 Assorted In-color card stock pack! 126838

Note: I had some left over petals from the Secret Garden Framelit die that I interjected. You could make the page with all Fun Flowers.

DSCN2953
Stamp image from Flowering Flourishes (w 126365, c 126367) with black StazOn ink 101406. Layer picture bordered frames. Add flowers made from Fun Flowers alternating colors. Add Pearl Basic Jewels 119247 to flowers and flourshing images.

Tea for Two - Grandma's Quilt

Punch one of the larger flowers out of Tea or Two. Use 1-/16" Circle Handheld Punch to punch centers to insert brad.

In-Colors...Bloomin' Marvelous!

DSCN2924Hi Everyone! It's the last day of the Sale-a-bration Blog Hop. Some pretty fabulous cards and projects from my fellow hoppers. Thanks ladies!

This card uses all the current In-Colors! At convention last year, they popped the colors side by side to show how wonderful they play together! I took that idea to make the card!

The 2011-2013 Colors are:
Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder
Card Stock  2011-13 Collection (20 sheets, 4 of each color 126838
Ink Collection -5 colors 122993

The 2012-2014 Colors are:
Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit
2012-14 Card stock Collection 126838
Ink Collection -5 colors 126835

I cut 1/2" card stock scrap strips of eacDSCN2917h color. Cut a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of whisper white cardstock. Adhere the stips to the base piece side by side. When all are on, trim to layering piece of 3-3/4' x 5"

DSCN2919

Run through The Big Shot Die-cutting and embossing machine using the EXCLUSIVE Sale-a-braiton folder Vine Street 130492. I love this effect of an embossed rainbow sheet, don't you?

Note - the camera flash must be picking up a sliver of white paper underneath peaking between the strips...cannot see in person!

DSCN2921I framed our In-Color rainbow with Basic Black card stock - 4" x 5-1/4".

Using the Bitty Butterfly punch 129406, punch out a butterfly in each of the 10 In-colors. Run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.

Using the 1" Circle Punch, punch 5 Whisper White circles. Ink in corresponding In-Color inks. Adhere butterflies in like tones. I slightly offset the top butterfly for contract.

With the Sale-a-bration exclusive stamp from Blooming Marvelous (wood 129651, c 129654), stamp sentiment with StazOn Black. Punch out with Scallop Oval punch. Ink around edges with a variety of In-Color inks. Place butterflies around the sentiment.

Collage Curios with Honeycomb Embossing Folder

DSCN2914Hi Everyone! Welcome to Day 3 of the Blog Hop!

CONFESSION...(smile) when I first spied the Honeycomb embossing folder, I thought...it's okay...I don't NEED it. Then I started seeing it in use and changed my mind! It's such a deep textured folder and the geometeric shapes beg for exploration of uses.I'm hooked! I have a friend in mind to send this too. I'm going to write inside "Thinking of you...it's BEEn too long since we've seen each other!" and other bee type slogans such as " What's the buzz around you lately?"

DSCN2911
One thing I find fun to do with this hobby is to try different color combinations. Sometimes I find inspiration from online decorating and fashion ads. AND I've been known to snap someone's shirt pattern too! LOL

Below is the color inspriation used for the card above:
Color ispWhisper White, Pool Party, and Elegant Eggplant became  my color pallet for the card. While you think a bee motify might call for honey tones, I like to mix it up a little and try unexcepted colors.

Materials Used
Stamps: Collage Curios (wood mount 129099, clear mount 129102), Curly Cute (w 117014, c 120510)
Paper: Whisper White 100730,Pool Party 122924 & Elegant Eggplant 105126
Ink: Elegant Eggplant 126969
Tools: Big Shot Die-cutting and embossing machine 113439, Honeycomb Embossing Folder 129378, Apothecary Accents Framelits 127003, 1-3/4" Circle Punch 119850, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch 11874, Paper Piercing Tool 126189, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Circle from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack 118309
Accessories: Sale-a-bration exclusive Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack, Whisper White Bakers Twine124262

I stamped the bee image on whisper white card stock first, then embossed. DSCN2915

Stamp images and punch out using the 1" circle punch for large pop tops or 1/2" circle punch for small pop tops. To seal in the waterbase ink, rub image in VersaMark to cover. Sprinkle Clear Emboss powder over and heat emboss with Heat Tool...or
Punch circles using designers series paper. DSCN2899

Apply a small amount of Chrystal Effects to the pop top. (acts as adhesive) Place image over top. I added either a Rhinestone or Pearl Basic Jewel to the image. Apply Chrystal Effects over top. It will appear creamy but will dry clear. Leave dry about an hour. I typically allow to dry overnight.

With 1/16th handheld punch, punch hole towards top of the large soda pop tops. The small ones were too small to punch after the Chrystal Effects was applied....look for them as embellishments on a future post!

If you have jewelry supplies - you could insert a circle ring thingy. I used White Baker's Twine to tie around the coordinating ribbons!

Being Fab! Inspriations for living a fabulous life. I first  heard this quote in a movie then learned it's a wonderful old saying: "The oxen is slow, but the earth is patient." In today's instant gradification lifestyle, I think we sometimes forget to be patient. Persistant and patience can yeild great results!

One Sheet Mini Album & Gift Card - Video Tutorial

DSCN2876Hi Everyone! After making the Vintage Chipboard Album (only 5 left! See here for more info), I got the bug for albums again! Kelly Jean Gettlefinger, a fellow demostrator shared how to make these on our demo share site, DSCN2878
Stampin' Connection. Thanks for your video Kelly!

The album base made using one sheet of 12" x 12" sheet of card stock! It also uses 17 pieces of designer paper cut at 2-3/4" x 3-3/4". Since the designer paper has images on both sides, I used all 6 sheets = 12 different designs for a variety, yet coordinated liner look. Click on the thumbnail pictures to see more images of the finished album.
