Out of the Box Card - Stamp Club Project

DSCN4376Hi Everyone! What fun we had a Stamp Club last night making this card. It's the Out of the Box technique where an image seems to be jumping off the page! It will be my Technique Tuesday video Tutorial!

Steps:

  1. Stamp image
  2. Take Framelit Die and position over image. Let a section hang “out of the box” or frame.
  3. With pencil, trace on the INSIDE of Framelit where image that will overhang and framelit meet. Apprx. ¼”. Repeat on other side.
  4. Remove Framelit.
  5. With paper snips, trim out overhang area. (DO NOT trim on pencil outline)
  6. With paper snips, cut SLIGHTLY into the image where the intersection of image and line meet.
  7. Die cut image making sure to tread on the outside of the framelit the overhang area.
  8. Layer and it appears to come Out of the Box!

NEW! In This Together & Blendabilities

DSCN4316Hi Everyone! Playing with some of my new stampin' items from the 2014-2015 Annual catalog. In This Together (wood 133866, clear 133869) stamp set, Lullaby Designer Paper 133695, and...drum roll please....Blendabilities Makers! Available June 2!

Blendabilities are alcohol based markers that allow for, yes, superior blending and vibrant color.

As the saving goes, you have to master the basics to make a master piece. And that's what I'm doing as a first time alcohol marker user. This image is my first attempt.

DSCN4317As you can see :) it's not perfect but that's the point of me sharing it with you. Practice makes perfect and I'm sure we'll all learn and progress together. (PS - I still really like this card!)

Other items used:
Paper: Whisper White, NEW Hello Honey, Bermuta Bay
Blendabilites Sets: Skin Tones, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive Coastal Cabana, Rich Razzleberry, Color Lifter
Tools: Big Shot, Starburst Framelits Dies, stapler
