Love Is Kindness &Coloring with Blendabilities Tip

Love is Kindness, BlendabilitiesHi Everyone! Last night Linda and Marge came over for a Getting Started with Blendabilities class. As with any new technique or product, practice makes us more comfortable and confident when using. Love is Kindness 137131 was the stamp we made on this oh-so-pretty card!

Blendibilities Tip

We used the Blendabilities Marker Sets of: Pink Pirouette 133625, Wild Wasabi 133624 to color the tulips and stems and Coastal Cabana 131000 as the highlight around the image.

TIP! As shown, you can really pop your image when you make trace around with an accent color (Coastal Cabana in this case.)

Blendabilies with Love is Kindness

We stamped a second image and hand trimmed the newspaper and tied a piece of Linen Thread around it. Pop up with a Stampin' Dimensional.

I gave the girls a few Pearl Basic Jewels at class too. Blendabilities color Pearls and Rhinestones!!! So we added a few matchy-matchy pearls to our card. LOVE THAT!

Other Materials:
Paper: Whisper White cardstock, Coastal Cabana Cardstock
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (need this one for Blendabilities!)
Tools: Paper Snips to fuzzy cut, Big Shot, Fancy Fans embossing folder

Take care my stampin' friends!

Lucky You Punch Art St. Patrick's Day Card

DSCN5053Hi Everyone! Here's a gate-fold St. Patrick's Day card. Guess what? Yup - I used Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper again :) I'm really trying to show different ways to use the sheets. We want to be creators not collecters! For me, that's the fun of our hobby. Get in the products and have different ways to use them. This sheet side is a great backdrop for florals and for your St. Patrick's Day cards and projects!

DSCN5056To make a gate fold card base:
8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card stock base. Score at 2-1/8" & 6-7/8" along the 8-1/2" side. Congrats! You just made a gate fold card base :)

Materials:
Stamp Set: And Many More
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper, Painted Blooms Designer PaperInk: Wild Wasabi
Tools: Heart punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Boho Blossoms Punch, Large Oval Punch, Word Window Punch, Big Shot, Deco Labels Framelits Dies, Fancy Fans Embossing Folder, Sponge Dauber
Adhesive: Multipurpose Glue, Stampin' Dimensional
Accessories: Subtle Collection Candy Dots
Envelope: Whisper White Envelopes with Envelope Liner Framelit

Prep:
Panels - Whisper White cut at 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" (need 2), Painted Blooms DP cut at 5-1/4" x 4" (need 2)

To make stem - with oval punch - take a "bite" out of the edge of cardstock. Bring punch back into the grove and punch a curved piece.Or free hand cut a swoop.

General instructions: Adhere panels to gate fold base. Die cut Deco Labels. Emboss the white layer using Fancy Fans. Adhere label layers to the right panel only. TIP! use hot glue if your whisper white not sticking to glimmer paper. Line up the points of the deco label to center seam - mine must have shifted! So make sure to let dry just a minute.

The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die 137547 not only makes ADORABLE treat bags but also is a fabulous card alternative. I took that idea and added another twist. The idea is that my teammates could adhere an optional gift card holder. Add hearts for a little love to someone, or the stars for a more all purpose card. Wouldn't it make a great graduation card or even a bridal shower card?

Valentine's Day Cupcake Picks

DSCN5034Hi Everyone! These yummy (yes...I tested!) cupcakes are going to work with me this morning to our employees. We {heart} our hard-working guys! I made them in a mini loaf pan. You can find the liners for these pans in a store's baking section.

I used strawberry heart shaped marshmallows and conversations hearts to decorate. My Lunch Buddy (mentorship program in schools) used up all my sprinkles on her cupcakes yesterday. The jars were getting low anyway. But like glitter, the sprinkles made them extra festive!

DSCN5030Don't you love Stampin' UP! punches?! They made these picks come together so fast. Items used:

Lollipop stick - found in baking isle.

General Instructions. With 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, punch 2 from Coastal Cabana Cardstock per pick. Option to emboss with Happy Heart Embossing Folder. Ink around edges with Coastal Cabana ink and sponge dauber. Punch out hearts with  Stacked with Love and Red Glimmer paper. Use dimensionals to adhere all layers. Sandwich the pick using dimensionals to hold.

Take care!
