Must Have Mondays & Tuesday Tips- Among the Branches Photopolyer Bundle

Among The BranchesHi Everyone! I'm starting a new Monday theme called Must Have Mondays! Followed up by Tuesday Tips!  These are products that have that little extra something. Maybe it's extra value, extra functionality, extra WOW factor etc...!

Our home laptops have been having issues for WEEKS! First mine then Jeff's. Yesterday, we FINALLY got one replaced. YIPPEE that means I can finally steady post again. So I know it's Tuesday, but I wanted to share the Must Have Monday item too! LOL

Above are my October In-Person Card Class samples. It uses each of the season images! Perfect for this time of year of course!  And it also features this week's Tuesday Tips! more on that later. Below are each of the cards up close.

Among The Branches Photopolymer Bundle is this week's Must Have Mondays spotlight. Three words:

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Love the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder and the images in Among the Branches are made specifically to work with the folder.

First is Autumn Wishes sentiment- to get this look, take your Sponge Dauber and apply ink directly onto the embossing folder. Insert your card stock and emboss through the Big Shot. This will give you the background color and the trees will pop forward. Then I took the stamps and stamped images on top of the embossed cardstock. (Tip! - I used fall leaf colors here - but using all green leaves clustered on a branch would give you a spring look!)

Autum Wishes Among the BranchesNext is the Spooky sentiment for Halloween! This time, emboss your Basic Black Cardstock, then take the Sponge Dauber using Whisper White Craft Ink and highlight the tree trunks and branches.

Spooky Amoung the BranchesAnd I did the same - inking after embossing to the Making Spirits Bright Sentiment. Soft Sky Classic ink used. Also stamped the snowflakes in the background after embossing.

Making Spirits Bright Amoung the Branches

Now for our TUESDAY TIP! Fine Tip Glue Pen - OMGoodness! A pin drop of glue. Great for intricate die cut shapes like the Butterfly Thinlits or Delicate Ornaments Dies. Or like I've used here - to add small areas of Stampin' Glitter! Below you will notice the centers of the snowflakes sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. So tiny! but with the Fine Tip Glue Pen you can achieve the look.

TIP! - squeeze EVER SO GENTLY. A light touch is all you need. You'll notice on the Autumn card - a got a few blobs! I like it but that's what happened when I squeezed too much. Also - make sure to store and work with it upright.

Fine Tip Glue PenI did use the Fine Tip Glue Pen and either Dazzling Diamonds or Gold Stampin' Glitter on each card.

My opinion - the Must Have Mondays' Among the Branches is one of those versital bundles that covers several holidays and seasons PLUS the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder is..well timeless! Great Value.

DSCN5648Hi Everyone! Last night Sue and Beth joined me for my Witching Decor Project Kit Class. This kit has SOLD OUT from Stampin' UP! No wonder as it's so stinkin' cute! and so are my friends Sue and Beth!

DSCN5647Sue and Beth are sisters and their family loves crafting! and Halloween so I'm thrilled they were so happy with the Witch Hats.

It's a good reminder to grab the kits and accessories in the Holiday Catalog. When something is popular and Stampin' UP! cannot bring more in before the holiday clock ticks down, it goes  into a Sold Out status.

Thank you Sue and Beth for a fun night of stamping and crafting!

Spider Web Doilies Mod Podged on Mason Jars & Other Ideas

  Spider Web Doilies

Hi Everyone! Since the Spider Web Dollies have 24 pieces in the pack, you might have a few left overs after your card making. Try decorating mason jars, clear glass vases and more! Grab your Mod Podge and apply.

For the gray mason jars - I first spray painted the jars.

  • Apply a base coat area of Mod Podge.
  • Add the Spider Web Doily.
  • Apply Mod Podge over top - TIP - I found pouncing the Podge was best so the doilies won't tear.

The Spider Web Doilies are SUPER CUTE to use as coasters for Halloween party drinks. It's the little touches that set the party mood!

DSCN5627

DSCN5628I applied a Spider Web Doily on a clear mason jar then filled with candy. The picture is a little dark but I like how the candy is the background color through the web!

DSCN5634

I grouped the jars with my Witching Décor Kit. NOTE! The kit quantity is getting limited so if you like this project, you may wish to order soon!

Happy Haunting Halloween Card

DSCN5629Hi Everyone! Happy Hauntings Designer Paper sheets are double sided for double the creative options. Try out this paper that has traditional Halloween colors infused with playful patterns. Cheer All Year stamp set was used for the images!

By cutting your Spider Web Dollies in quarters, you can add corner web accents to your cards and scrapbook pages.

Happy HauntingsI played around with the Spider Web Dollies' position. One is lined up with the layers and the other on the outer edge of the card base. Which do I like best? Hard to say as one day I like one look and the next the other!

General Instructions:

Stamp the BOO image on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Punch out with the 1" Circle Punch. Apply Crystal Effects over top and let dry - about 20 minutes. When dry, layer with Black Glimmer Paper punched out with 1-1/4" Circle Punch.

Add layers using Happy Haunting Designer Paper and Happy Haunting Cardstock Pack. With Circles Framelits - use the 2-3/4" Circle to die cut a Black Glimmer Paper Circle. Punch Happy Haunting Designer Paper with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch. Layer and add BOO sentiment.

Add Spider Web Dolly using the new Fine Tip Glue Pen. Depending on where you want to layer, layer along the way or at the end.

Stamp inside using Spider image. Using Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, swiggle lines. Stamp Happy Hauntings.

September 2015 Designer Paper Dolls Swaps

DSCN5602Hi Everyone! Here are the September Swap Cards from Designer Paper Dolls Davette, Summer and Linda! Swap theme was Fall Birthdays. I'll share my swap project tomorrow with it's video tutorial!

Let's take a closer look at their swaps from left to right!

DSCN5603Davette's card uses the Woodland Textured Embossing folder and the Leaflets Framelits and Hello You Thinlits to create her card. She embossed the inside too!

DSCN5605How happy does Summer's card make one!? English Garden Designer Paper is accented with a Pansy Punch embellishment to highlight the floral image. A feminine birthday card with non-feminine colors...beautiful!

DSCN5604Linda also used the Woodland folder! Leaflets Framlits and retired SU die that had acorns (could sub with the new Acorn Builder Punch) she applied Crystal Effects to for the shiney, slightly 3D look.

I {heart} all my teammates! We have a great time connecting on our private Facebook Page, Team Challenges ( they can win prizes from me just for stamping and sharing, and some business challenges too,) and more. We would love to have you be part of our group - whether you are a savvy shopper for the discount or want to start your own business!
