Valentine's Card & Baker's Box with Lindor Strawberrys & Cream Truffles

Love Blossoms & Bloomin Love

14daysofval

Hi Everyone! Day 3 of my 14 Days of Valentine's Projects. Today's is a 2-fer. A card and a treat box. And I just cannot stop playing with this group of products. And why not! (giggle) they are uber cute and Valentine festive! Let's start with the treat box! It's made using the Baker's Box Thinlit Dies.

DSCN5832

General Instruction for the Baker's Box.
Die cut 2 images out of Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. Each pass makes 1/2 the box. With one of the sections, die cut the circle out of the front panel using the circle die the comes with the set (nice!). Adhere a 2" x 2" Window Sheet to the back side using Glue Dots. Assemble the box using Tear & Tape.

Die cut the word YUM out of Rose Red using the die that comes with the set. Using the circle you cut out of the box and using the reverse design side, adhere YUM using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Cover the front of the Mini Clothes Pin with Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. Add Lindor Strawberry's & Cream Truffles inside (5 shown) and keep top closed with clothes pin.

DSCN5834

General Instructions for the card and envelope.

Stamp image on a 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" Whisper White Cardstock. Ink around edges with Blushing Bride. Layer on a 2-1/2" x 3" Love Blossoms Designer Paper. With Happy Heart Embossing Folder, emboss a 4" x 4" Whisper White. Lightly ink with Blushing Bride ink to highlight the hearts and ink edges. Adhere to Blushing Bride card base 4-1/4" x 11. Stamp sentiment and punch out with Washi Punch. With same punch, punch with Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. Cut in half. Add sentiment layers as shown. Die cut flowers out of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and adhere to image. (they match up with the stamp!)

14 Days of Valentine's Projects Day 2: Be Mine Chocolate Treat Holder

14daysofval Valentine's Treat Holder
Hi Everyone! It's day 2 and I love this little box for snack size wrapped chocolates! I think half of it is that the Snicker's bars say Be Mine and Valentine! The other half is it hardly uses any supplies to make the box ;)

DSCN5828The box has a belly band around it and you slide out the candy. I think this would be a sweet treat to make for the office, teachers and a fun lunch box surprise!

Also  - please note how it uses most of the same supplies as yesterday's card! A handful of coordinated supplies can go a long ways :)

LOOK FOR A VIDEO TUTORIAL on this soon!

DSCN5825

Measurements:

Box - Blushing Bride Cardstock 2-1/4" x 4"  Score 1/2" on all (4) sides.
Belly Band: - Rose Red Cardstock 3" x 4" and Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack 2-3/4" x 4"

General Instructions:

Box: Along the 4" side - cut score line until it intersects with the other score line. Flip to other 4" side and repeat. You will make 4 cuts total. Crease fold lines with Bone Folder and fold up to make box bottom. Set aside.

Belly Band: Adhere Designer Paper to top of cardstock. Add Tear & Tape to back along the 3" side. Wrap around box and join sides. Do not adhere to box :) We want it to only wrap around so box slides out like a match box.

Stamp sentiment and punch out . Punch hole using the 1/8" handheld punch. Tie baker's twine and add to front with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Must Have Mondays - Memory Keeping

Memory KeepingHi Everyone! This week's Must Have Mondays is about Memory Keeping. If you are like me and so many others, preserving our memories is important. Pocket scrapbooking changed the game for me! It gives me permission NOT to embellish (but it's an option). But rather tuck in my photos, add a predesigned element, note the who, what, where and when and be free to go make more memories!

DSCN5729

Some local stampers are coming over Thursday night to make this Hello December 2015 Memory Album. Whether to use or to give, we will be all set just to drop in our photos, do a little journaling and HAVE an EASY Solution to Memory Keeping!

Won't you join us? Anyone who orders a Project Life by Stampin' UP! Album (any size), a pocket page pack (any size) and a card collection (any collection) will get a FREE getting started with Memory Keeping Online Class that starts November 1st from me that includes which cards from the Hello December 2015 Card Collection I used where in the pocket pages. (My teammates, the Designer Paper Dolls will get FREE access as a perk!)

TIP! - One  Hello December Card Collection will make 2-3 albums! Now they all will be slightly different as far as the actual card inserts. But you get lots of cards in the collection. So it would be perfect to order 2 Albums and 2 pocket pages so you could GIVE ONE & KEEP ONE.

Personally, I am most comfortable with this size. I like projects that have a defined beginning and end. Like memory keeping for a season, holiday, life event like a wedding, school year, new baby, etc...

I also wanted to show you can papercraft the front and or back and or inside too! Above I used Home for Christmas Designer Paper and put a glitzy Red Glimmer Paper Box on the front. I also have the Hello December 2015 Accessory Pack on hand to use once my photos are inserted. I like to save that till last.

On my next personal order - I'm ordering supplies to make 4 more to pass out to family at Thanksgiving. That way they can insert photos and record memories all December!

Must Have Mondays - Circle Punches & Apple Punch Art Tutorial

Apple Punch ArtHi Everyone! My home PC has gotten new life and I should be good-to-go again...yeah! I hate to admit it, but I struggled using hubby's new laptop. The left and right click areas blended in with the area to move the mouse around and I couldn't get it to react that way I needed. (giggle) why do they all have to be SO different? hahaha

Today's Must Have Mondays is circle punches. Which ones? all :) Purchase them over time until you have all sizes. Circle punches are great as you can use them to punch out images and sentiment and layer them unto your projects for interest. Also used in treat boxes to create holding space for K-Cups (project shown above and see the post on how to make here). They are also key shapes to punch art.

The 1-3/4" Circle Punch was used for both the apple punch art in this project. It's a great size to get started on a circle punch collection! My punch is the old style from Stampin' UP!

To make the Apple Punch Art - use the template below to make your apple shapes. Take the White Gel Pen to make a highlight.
