Happy Memorial Day

Greatest Moments II - I remember

Hi Everyone! Happy Memorial Day...THANK YOU to all the past military men and women who have served our country and for the ones currently in service. I'm taking a little time right now to send a prayer to the families who have lost loved ones and to the service men, women and their families.

Enjoy your day! Sis is having a cookout late afternoon and my blueberry pie is ready to go. Happy Crafting! ~ Dee

Father's Day Gift Pouch and Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone! The guys in our lives need pretty packaging too! (I don't think they would admit it, but we know they like it!
Here's a little Father's Day package that holds his favorite homemade treats, candies, or other small gifts. Plus room for a gift card. I used the Island Oasis desinger paper along with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. I used the sentiments from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the following tools: Punches - scallop, 1 3/8" circle, 1" circle, slit, word window and modern label. I used my crimper fo the belly band. Sizes of paper used:
1/2" x 8 1/2" old olive for the belly band., 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" old olvie for the pouch.Scraps of designer paper, old olive, pumpkin pie and whisper white.Old Olive ink.

P1030810 If you want a wider, squattier pounch, fold the top all the way down until it meets the bottom. (This make sense when you watch video.) I trim off the tip so it doesn't overhang. The wider versions are nice when you have a little more goodies you want to gift. I wanted to show you the two looks. Any square size will work. The 12 x 12 are nice when you have a little bigger gift. I've made as small as a 4x4, which is too cute and holds one piece of candy.

Happy Crafting! Dee
For the gift card holder, cut a piece of pumpkin pie at 3" x 5 1/4"

Score at 3".

Wine Bottle Menu

Hi Everyone! I totally stole this idea from a beach-side restaurant while on vacation. With summer parties gearing up, especially those with a tropical theme, I wanted to share this with you. Can't you just see using this at the beverage station or at each table?!? P1030771 Especially with colorful glasses with drink umbrellas?

Materials needed:
Empty wine bottle. I think any glass bottle will work.
Printed menu (or your party themed message)
Decorating elements
Sand. You can find at hobby stores, your child's sand box, the beach, etc...
Optional - Small shells to fit through bottle top

I measured half around the middle of the bottle for the width of the menu, The height could go all the way up to the top of the neck.
For mine  - I used:
Various paper from Island Oasis DP117173 in the Summer Mini
4 x 5 1/2 Printed Menu (next time I'll use cardstock vs. printer paper)
4 1/4 x 5 3/4 layer
4 1/2 x 6 layer
Flowers trimmed out ot DP
Snail adhesive and dimensionals.
Belly Band:
10" x 2" DP strip
10" x 1" DP strip

Layer belly band strips on top of each other & adhere. Wrap around bottle and adhere.
Layer Menu items - decorate with cut-out images from DP and other embellishments of choice.
Adhere over belly band covering seam. Make sure to run adhesive on the edge of the paper to avoid paper not being flush with bottle. If you have gaps, sneak a glue dot to keep it down. VIDEO COMING SOON.

If you try this, let me know! and feel free to send pictures. And until next time... Happy Crafting! `Dee
