DSCN0747 Hi Everyone!
OMGoodness love these Designer Frames Embossing Folders 123130! You get 2 folders with this set. Whew hew! Here is a card I made for a friend that is a little under the weather. It's a smaller card with an overall size of 4-1/4" x 2-7/8". AND I did it again...used a fond farewell hostess  Petite Silhouettes from last year's catalog. But luckily, there are similiar images to sub such as Charming ( w 116519, c 125829), Herb Expressions 113224 or Pocket Silhouettes 111672. Any image you wish to use as a focal point inside the frames.
Other Items used:

*Whisper White 100730 cardstock cut at 8-1/2" x 2-7/8". Scored and folded in half.
*New In Color Stampin' Markers Set 123002 which includes colors used Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.
*New In-Color Poka Dot Brads 122940
*Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon 122973
* Adhesive - Mini Glue Dots 103683
Tools: Big Shot machine 113439

How to make:
Run card base with the Designer Frame embossing folding using the Big Shot.
With Stampin' Write Markers - color image. Breath on image to remoisten ink and stamp inside the frame.
Tie bow with Ruffled Ribbon and wrap brad around middle.
Adhere bow with Mini Glue Dots.

Here's another look just to help convey the scale of the caDSCN0748rd and folders..
The Crumb Cake sheet is 8.5" x 5.5" . I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of these embossing folders...Super Cute!

Old Friend, New Friend Cards

Hi Everyone! Here are two cards I've received recently. One from my BFF Joanie and one from my new friend Shirley!

DSCN0742 Joan's card features the stamp set Flower Fest (w 122278, c 122280). She used the masking technique to achieve the layered looks. And she popped it even more by stamping and punching layering images. Super Cute Joanie!

DSCN0743 Shirley's 4th of July card sparkles just like a firework! Shimmer Paint must have been used! I really like the 6 squares that allow for even more decoration and details. She used the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch 122464 and the flower from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack 118309.  While not shown the inside is decorated so cute too!! Thanks for an eye-catching card Shirley

Both Joan and Shirley used Basic Pears Jewels 119247. Thanks for the cards girls!

Layered Christmas Tree Using Perfect Pennants Die

DSCN0728 Hi Everyone! As July wraps up, I thought I would post a few more Christmas in July cards. A reason I was so excited about the new Perfect Pennants Die 123126 besides its pennant use was the triangle dies for perfect cards and other projects! (this is also the die being used in Aug's It's a Party class.)

Items used
Pear Pizzaz as base
1" x 8-1/2" of each of the following - Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke and Garden Green. Note - you do not have to have all the different colors. One would work, but 2 or more adds a little more interest. (I used up some scrap strips too!)
Red Glimmer paper for ornaments
Daffodil Delight for star

Small star (no longer available but could sub with Stars #2 Die 113461)
119853 Eyelet Border
Standard 1/4" hole punch for ornament

Dazzling Dimonds for star

Tombo to adhere layers and adhere tree to base.
2-way Glue pen for dazzling dimonds
Stampin' Dimentionals to adhere star

Stamp: Petite Pairs

To make:
With Pear Pizzaz -  Take a 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" and die cut the large triangle.
Cut a 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece and fold in half bringing short end together. This is the card base. Place folded card on large triange image as shown. Run through Big Shot to make base.

With eyelet border punch, make eyelet borders on all green strips. Starting at the bottom of  your triangle, adhere layers until you reach the top. Trim as you go.

DSCN0729 Adhere ornaments and star. Adhere tree to base. Stamp sentiment.

Paper Wall Sconce - My Mom's Birthday Card

DSCN0723 Hi Everyone! My mom's birthday is tomorrow but we are celebrating today. I'm giving her this paper wall sconce as her birthday card. I made it using the Petal Cone Die 121810. Cut 2 petal cone images. With one image - trim off the triangle side with the flap (strip used to connect sides). Adhere to full image. This will give you  a 3 sided cone.

How to make cone. Cut images as described above using Very Vanilla 101650 card stock. Stamp with image from Elements of Style (w 118611, c 120045) using Early Espresso classic ink 119670. Adhere sides using Sticky Strip 104294. Trim semi-circle off of sides. Stamp and adhere the scallop semi circle to back. With Crop-a-dile  108362 punch hole in back to hang.

For Flower:
121808 Blossoms Petals Builder
119861     1-1/4" Circle (base and circle rosette flower)

With So Saffron card stock - 105118 punch 10 large and 10 small blossoms. Adhere with Tombo 110755 or Mini Glue dots 103683.
To make center, make Circle Punch Rosette - see post on how to make by clicking here.
Adhere to center using Dimensionals Foam dots 104430

I found this green flourish pick at a hobby store and it has this wire wrapped around it. I adhered flower to it using sticky strip and added a butterfly using the Beautiful Wings 118138 embosslits dies.  Basic Pearls 119247 finished off the butterfly.DSCN0725

I added some leaves and cut strips of Pear Pizzaz that I ran through the crimper.

A birthday tag made with Four Frames (w 123440, c 123442) DSCN0726 and Petite Pairs

(w 122495, c 122497)and tied with Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon 124142 complete the sconce.

"It's A Party! " August Class

Hi Everyone! Hurray!!!! I'm finally back in action in my craft room and playing with some of the new products from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! August's 'card' class is a project class where we will make this party banner, learn (or relearn) how to make pinwheels and flower folds to make a festive party...all with 1 pack of designer paper!

I absolutely adore Big Top Birthday designer paper 122348. It's bright colors work for a variety of occasions. I used the new Perfect Pennants 123126 Bigz Die for the Big Shot 113439 to make the banner.

If you look closely, you'll note the popcorn bags are decorated with some of the designer paper!
DSCN0718 Nephew Jacob suggested this corner decoration and I love it!

Hi Everyone! Here are 16 of my 80 3x3 Mini swaps from convention. I personally enjoy the mini cards as they are such adorable note cards for gifts or to tuck into a bag or such. Plus the mini's give me full card inspirations!
DSCN0693 I enjoyed meeting some of my fellow demonstrators such as Donna Wicks.  She took the time (80 times!)to score the middle flower so it could pop-up and off the card...Super Cute Donna!

Tonight my craft room will see action for the first time in about 2.5 weeks. I'm am so going through stampin' withdraws :)
