Happy "OWL" -o-Ween Mini Milk Carton & a 3 Day Blog Hop
09/03/2013
Hi Everyone! No Trick..It's a double blog hop TREAT! Besides hopping around for the Treasure Hunt, a few of us got together for a 3-Day Halloween Hop from Sept. 3-5!
You all KNOW I LOVE the Owl Builder Punch 118074 so I decided to feature that each day of the hop. Enjoy my first OWL-o-ween project!
You probably figured it out ;0, the ghost on top is from the Owl punch too! Here's another angle.
To make the owl house, with Basic Black Cardstock, use the Mini Milk Cartoon 117310 die to cut image. Lay out as shown. Sticky Stick one the right connecting section. With with 1" Circle Punch, punch opening. In order to reach, cut off the bottom section as shown.
With Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set, heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Assemble milk carton.
Punch 18 shingles out of Brights Designer Paper Stack 130134 using the Smal Oval Punch 120908. Mine is from last years series so your polka dots will be a little different. With Basic Grey ink - sponge around edges. Using Tombo glue, adhere 3 rows of shingles, 3 per row. Cap off the roof with the Scallop Edge Border at of Basic Black.
To make the opening scallop accent, take a scrap piece of Old Olive card stock and punch out a 1" Circle. With the 1-1/4" Scallop Punch 127811, line up around the circle and make a scallop ring. Tombo it around the opening. (yup..that's a phrase..Tombo it! lol)
Assemble Owl and assemble Ghost. Ghost's eyes are from the punch and inked around to accent. Basic Black Stampin' Write marker to make the face.
Double up on the Ghost and sandwich between a mini clothes pin. Open up to fill with treats!
Please visit each of the Halloween Blog Hoppers below and enjoy the inspiration over the next few days!
