Halloween Family Fun Day

DSCN4743Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA this month. My schedule should open up for getting back to all of you :) Sunday, family and friends came over for a Halloween Family Fun Day! We made tulle witches' skirts and lions' mane as well as a ghost foot print.

For the mane and the skirt - take ~ 6-8" tulle strips and tie in knots around an elastic ban. I'm no sewer and velcro closures worked great. Tip: It will take you more tulle than you think. The more tulle the fuller the mane and skirt.

DSCN4734 DSCN4735Tulle Tip #2 - the adults pretty much made. It's a little too redundant for the kids and you need to tie lots of knots. The youth probable could do on own but we had too many distractions :)

Project #2- Pinterest inspired Smell My Feet

DSCN4732Take white craft paint and paint the bottoms of feet. Step unto Basic Black cardstock. The heels are the ghost heads Add the phrase Trick or Treat Smell My Feet. We used 1/2" circle punch to make ghost eyes.Use same punch to punch holes at top and add ribbon to hang your creations.

Tip! The children sat on chairs while the adults painted their feet. Place the cardstock on the floor and have the kids stand dirctly up on the cardstock (don't move feet) and sit back down.
The little ones are either my great nephews or team members' children. My nephew (the dad) came (great to have a man craft!) and my niece from college surprised me by showing up too! All was getting into the spirit of the day. And I must get my silliness from my mamma as she rocked the funky witch look with my props!
So I hope all left our day with a set of new memories!

Happy Crafting!~ Dee

VID00916Hi Everyone! I think this is around #10 of my Halloween/Fall projects!

I had this sitting on my shelf and some local stampers asked if we could have a class! So here's my 'class to you {wink} in the form of a video tutorial - see below.

General Instructions:

  • Die cut 9 circles out of one sheet of Typeset Designer Paper using the 3-3/4" circle die from the Circles Collection Framelits
  • With Stampin' Sponge, use Tangerine Tango (or orange of your choice) to ink around both sides of circle.
  • Fold in half. Run bead of glue along fold and stack halves on top of each other.
  • Add stem before gluing first and last sides together.
  • Create tags, leaves, etc and use baker's twine or linen thread to secure.
