Let's Wear Our "Good" Jewelry

Hi Everyone!

I thought I would share my new mantra - Wear my 'good' jewelry!

Good is relative - what might be "good" to me might be your costume jewelry. LOL!

Ever since leaving a professional job to work for our family business, my good jewelry for the most part hasn't been seen in years. I've decided it's time to enjoy wearing them again.

It's been fun! The memories of when hubby or family or friends gave me the special pieces are like little warm hugs reminding me of people I love the most.

So stampers...who's with me?! Do you wear your good jewelry everyday? I would love to hear from you.

Take care!

Sweet Taffy and Brights Collection Jr. Legal Pad Holders

Jr. Legal Pad HolderHi Everyone! I love a great pad holder, don't you?! And this is a great project that uses a core group of items. Then add stamped images to finish the look.
Pad Holder with Pen

If you follow me, you know I'm a fan of getting the paper collections. Reason? You get a variety of colors!

You can make up to 15-20 of these pads with 2 core items:
*Sweet Taffy Designer Paper
*Brights Collection 12"x12" Cardstock (20 sheets - 2 each of 10 colors)

~15 pads if you mat the designer paper
20 pads if you don't mat or substitute Whisper White cardstock as the mat layer.

How To Make a Jr. Legal Pad Notebook Cover with Pen:

Start with 8-1/2" x 12" Card Stock.
Score along the 12" side at 5-1/2", 6", 6-1/2"

To make the pen holder: Fold at the 6". Trim up to the score line. Pop out the holder section.

Add adhesive as shown. TIP! Go ahead and write on your paper so you know where to add adhesive. I used Fast Fuse but Sticky Strip could be used too.

Second picture is what it should look like after you add adhere it down.

DSCN5162Tip! If you jr. legal is a true 5x8 (some smaller which is actually better) it will fit exactly in the space from score line to right edge. Test your pad first before you do any gluing.

I like to cover the pad top: 1" x 5" or trim to size. And stamp the first page - if giving as a gift you can even write a little note here!
