Tuedsay Tip! - Quick Kiss Triangle Treat Holders

Treat HolderHi Everyone! stinkin' cute are these little treat holders?! And so, so easy to make:

4" x 1" Cardstock  Scored at 1", 2", 3" Fold into triangle and use Multipurpose Glue to connect. Slip your kiss into the triangle wedge created and add an embellishment.

(updateI had another photo here - which was Brenda Quintana's where I got the idea. I save picture project ideas in a file and must have mistakenly saved in my created project file and I used that image here and I think on a newsletter too. It was unintentional and I hope Brenda graciously accepts my apology. I'm sure you all know that I would never intentionally do that. Here's her project! : )

At my Holiday Open House last weekend, these were one of the make and takes. Here's the general instructions for

  • Punch or die cut 2 images
  • Glue to triangle sides as shown.
  • Slide Hersey's Kiss into triangle

Must Have Mondays - Memory Keeping

Memory KeepingHi Everyone! This week's Must Have Mondays is about Memory Keeping. If you are like me and so many others, preserving our memories is important. Pocket scrapbooking changed the game for me! It gives me permission NOT to embellish (but it's an option). But rather tuck in my photos, add a predesigned element, note the who, what, where and when and be free to go make more memories!

Some local stampers are coming over Thursday night to make this Hello December 2015 Memory Album. Whether to use or to give, we will be all set just to drop in our photos, do a little journaling and HAVE an EASY Solution to Memory Keeping!

Won't you join us? Anyone who orders a Project Life by Stampin' UP! Album (any size), a pocket page pack (any size) and a card collection (any collection) will get a FREE getting started with Memory Keeping Online Class that starts November 1st from me that includes which cards from the Hello December 2015 Card Collection I used where in the pocket pages. (My teammates, the Designer Paper Dolls will get FREE access as a perk!)

TIP! - One  Hello December Card Collection will make 2-3 albums! Now they all will be slightly different as far as the actual card inserts. But you get lots of cards in the collection. So it would be perfect to order 2 Albums and 2 pocket pages so you could GIVE ONE & KEEP ONE.

Personally, I am most comfortable with this size. I like projects that have a defined beginning and end. Like memory keeping for a season, holiday, life event like a wedding, school year, new baby, etc...

I also wanted to show you can papercraft the front and or back and or inside too! Above I used Home for Christmas Designer Paper and put a glitzy Red Glimmer Paper Box on the front. I also have the Hello December 2015 Accessory Pack on hand to use once my photos are inserted. I like to save that till last.

On my next personal order - I'm ordering supplies to make 4 more to pass out to family at Thanksgiving. That way they can insert photos and record memories all December!

Tuesday Tip - Oh What Fun Tag Kit

Oh What Fun KitHi Everyone! This week's Tuesday Tip is about the Oh What Fun Tag Kit. make 30 tags! with this kit. So my tip is this is a kit that can be used in a variety of ways! You'll really get your bag for your buck with this kit. Shown above with the coordinating stamp set Oh What Fun. Use the tags for:

  • Gift tags
  •     on gift boxes, baked goods, wine bottles (hostess gift for the holidays),stocking stuffers, Secret Santa gifts, etc...
  • Card embellishments (add to card front and done!) Talk about a quick way to make 30 cards!
  • Scrapbook and Project Life page elements.
  • Change up the stamp set and you could use for multiple occasions!
  • A gift in of itself!

TIP! it coordinates wonderfully with the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Hello December 2015 Project Life Card Collection.

DSCN5721Ideas to use together:

  • Use the Envelope, Gift Box, or Gift Bag Punch Boards to create custom packaging.
  • Cards.
  • Scrapbook or Project Life Pages
  •     Gift a ready for photos Holiday Album!
  • Wine bottle tags

I assembled the kit in about an hour. Since all the elements are already die cut, it's just a matter of stamping the sentiments and gluing together. Love, love this kit!

Another Tip! This is a perfect kit to share. (30 tags!) I'm thinking about getting another kit or 2 in and making it our Thanksgiving project. Mom and the sisters would love going home with a handful of tags they made. Or make a kit for someone as a gift - my grandmas would have LOVED to have gotten a stack of these tags to add to homemade cookies or on the outside of her gift card envelopes.

I hope you can see why I choose this for the Tuesday Tip - one kit goes a long way as it can be incorporated throughout the season and for your memory keeping!

Must Have Mondays - Circle Punches & Apple Punch Art Tutorial

Apple Punch ArtHi Everyone! My home PC has gotten new life and I should be good-to-go again...yeah! I hate to admit it, but I struggled using hubby's new laptop. The left and right click areas blended in with the area to move the mouse around and I couldn't get it to react that way I needed. (giggle) why do they all have to be SO different? hahaha

Today's Must Have Mondays is circle punches. Which ones? all :) Purchase them over time until you have all sizes. Circle punches are great as you can use them to punch out images and sentiment and layer them unto your projects for interest. Also used in treat boxes to create holding space for K-Cups (project shown above and see the post on how to make here). They are also key shapes to punch art.

The 1-3/4" Circle Punch was used for both the apple punch art in this project. It's a great size to get started on a circle punch collection! My punch is the old style from Stampin' UP!

To make the Apple Punch Art - use the template below to make your apple shapes. Take the White Gel Pen to make a highlight.

Dual K-Cup Holder Video Tutorial

DSCN5705Hi Everyone! I so excited - today is our teams Mini Retreat! Local Designer Paper Dolls will gather in person and Happy Mail will be going out to all other Dolls on Monday. This is one of the projects they will make - a dual K-Cup Holder decorated for fall. I found some apple cider k-cups at Walmart so PERFECT!

The beauty of this project is it takes MINIMAL items and actually - use up your scrap pieces!

The only tools you need are the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and a scoring tool like Simple Scored or the scoring blade use on the Stampin' Trimmer.

Here's a video tutorial on how to make the holder. Tomorrow's post will show the punch art apple.

Festive Flower Builder Punch - Fall Flower Version

DSCN5687Hi Everyone! Playing with this week's Must Have Monday - the Festive Flower Punch! Here's a fall version. Feel free to load up the layers! the more petals (8 large, 8 medium) for a fuller look!

Tuck in a Metallic Foil Doily behind for that little extra touch.

DSCN5684Add to a card, box or bag. Here I added to the Petite Café Bag. It's lined..Perfect for your homemade treats. You know when you indulge in those specialty chocolate stores and they put your goodies in a bag with a liner - not necessarily a wax liner, but lined so the edible doesn't stick to the paper sides? That's what this bag has!

English Garden Designer Paper used at the backdrop and the yellow flower picks up the yellow accents of the paper.

General Instructions: Punch 8 sets of petals out of Delightful Dijon and 2 of the smallest (inside) out of Chocolate Chip. Each layer needs a base. I punched out a 1" circle for the largest petals and a 3/4" circle for the medium petals.
Option: I embossed the petals with Decorative Dots and inked around the edges.
With largest petals - with Multipurpose glue - add petals to 1" base circle.
With medium petals - add petals to the 3/4" base.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to add layers together.
Add 2 "bikini top" looking petals to top.
Add the 2 Chocolate Chip inside petals.
