First Friday's Blog Hop - Fall
08/31/2017
Hi Everyone! Double excited..why? Not only is it First Fridays Blog Hop day but also the first day everyone can order from the new Holiday Catalog! Yippee!!
Our theme this time is Fall. And for me, nothing kicks off my fall decorations like sitting out gourds and pumpkins. And the NEW Stamp Set, Gourd Goodness screams fall to me!
And seriously, how good is this Burlap Background Stamp? So good! Gourd Goodness is a 2-Step Stamp Set - you stamp the bottom image then layer another image on top of it! The pumpkin images are 1 stamp. I created a mask of the pumpkins using a Post-It Note. Here's the steps to create the layered look.
With the pumpkin background image - ink in Pumpkin Pie - Stamp off on a scrap piece of paper. Without reinking, stamp on project.
With the pumpkin top image - ink in Pumpkin Pie and stamp over the background image.
Cover pumpkin image with Post It mask (needs to be thin paper).
Right gourd - bottom image with Crushed Curry ink - stamp so image overlaps mask so it looks like it's behind the pumpkin. Stamp top image with Pear Pizzazz.
Left gourd - bottom image with Pear Pizzazz, top image with Pumpkin Pie.
Cardstock Measurements:
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 for base
Crushed Curry 4x5-1/4
Pear Pizzazz 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Very Vanilla 4 x 51/4
Use largest die from Lots of Labels and die cut Soft Suede
With 2nd large die from Lots of Labels, die cut Very Vanilla
General Instructions:

With Soft Suede ink, stamp Burlap image on Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Layer with Crushed Curry and add to card base.
Stamp sentiment and punch out with 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Layer on 1-3/8" Circle Punch ed circle from Soft Suede. Layer all stamped pieces with Stamin' Dimensional foam dots.
Add Wink of Stella on gourds for a subtle, shimmering look.
