Glitter Queen's Blog Hop - Home for the Holidays

Bemerrygq Logov3

Hi Everyone! Welcome the Glitter Queen's Monthly Blog Hop! Our November theme is Home for the Holidays

My favorite holiday memories include making something as a youth during Christmas break. Santa always had a craft for me (Santa knows me so well!) Whether it was weaving pot holders, painting ceramic figures, or making those pour and bake bugs, I loved making stuff and you know what? Mom, Dad and my sisters always seemed to want in on it too!

So with our theme Home for the Holidays I wanted to show you 2 projects that I feel would create holiday memories- First,  I just had to pick the Be Merry Kit. It's an All- Inclusive kit. That means you can open up and jump right in making! Whether you make with friends or family or by yourself, you can create these 12 GORGEOUS rosettes! It took me about 1-1/2 hours to make WITH interruptions from hubby.

You provide the hot glue and I recommend the Fine Tip Glue Pen too!

NOTE! The Be Merry Kit is on Back Order due in late November...plenty of time to make and enjoy in December! If you like it, I recommend going ahead and ordering and Stampin' UP! will ship to you as soon as it's back in stock late November

Use it for home décor such as part of a wreath, use on a tree or as package decorations! I can imagine enjoying them as a small tree décor, then use for last minute gift accents!

DSCN6574I also wanted to show you my variations. The kit shows inserting the tulle every other fan fold. I made some of mine with no tulle and all tulle! Feel free to mix up your kit! I also played around with the sentiment placement.

How to make:
1) Stamp an image - color if a colorable image OR Stamp directly on Designer Paper OR Just use Designer Paper or Glimmer Paper.
2) Punch out using the 1" Circle Punch if using either the 1" Cabochon Clear Round Tile or the 1-1/8" Cabochon  Round Tile.
3) Cover the back of the tile with Multipurpose Glue - a thin layer - TIP use an inexpensive paint brush to spread a light, even coat.
4) Add you punched element so you can see through the bubble side. Allow to completely dry.

Glitter Queens' Blog Hop - Glow Stick Holder and Notecard

Logov3
Spooky Night

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Glitter Queens' Blog Hop - Formally First Fridays Blog Hop. Our theme this month is...of course!.. Halloween! And I have 2 quick and cute projects for you!

First is a treat holder or in this case, Glow Sticks! holder. The holder is CASEd from a swap from Stamp-A-Palooza last month. I'm not sure who swapped it but it's cute! Hers held a full size Snickers candy bar. I wanted to show it with something other than candy. I'll be giving these to my great-nephews whose mamma is VERY picky on how much sweets they eat. So this is an alternative to a sweet.

DSCN6548Measurements:
Basic Black Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 8-1/2. Score along 8-1/2 side at 4 1/2, 5-1/2, 7, & 8
Spooky Night Designer Paper: 4 x 5-1/4 & 4 x 1-1/4

On the picture above - you would adhere the 4 x 1-1/4 Designer Paper on THE OPPOSITE side.

How to make: Adhere Designer Paper. Add Tear & Tape to the 1/2 tab and make box element.

DSCN6551Decorate your holder with images from the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Bundle. I made a mask for the cats by placing Rhinestones then using Wink of Stella around the eyes!

My second project is a cute and quick note card you can use for Halloween!

DSCN6552

How to make: 3x6 Whisper White folded to make a 3 x 3 note card. With Watercolor Wash background stamp  using Basic Gray ink, stamp background. With sponge dauber and Pumpkin Pie ink - make circles. Punch out a 2-1/2" circle in Daffodil Delight - ink around with Pumpkin Pie ink. Punch out cat image in Basic Black - add moon and cat to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The products used are below the hop list in case you need anything to make these projects!

Acetate Card Boxes, Halloween Treat Containers, Stampin' UP!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Halloween Blog Hop! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog or may have come from the person previous to me in the list.

If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

It's hard to think of Halloween without thinking of Halloween Treats! And the new Acetate Card Boxes from Stampin' UP! are more than just for cards! I spied others using the TREAT TUBES in the boxes and my friend Tracy Bradly showed how she filled with Reese's Cups. Loved them both and I had to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) to bring to you and my local customers!

  DSCN6471

For the mini Reese Cup box - fill with ~15 pieces. Stamp sentiment from Labels of Love  and punch out with Everyday Label Punch. Use the 2-1/4" Circle and Starburst punches to make tag. Wrap with ribbon and add tag with baker's twine.

DSCN6470For this treat box - Fill 8 Treat Tubes with candy pieces. Insert into acetate Box. Cut a 2 x 12 strip of Spooky Nights Designer Paper. NOTE it will NOT meet. But that's okay - your sentiment will cover the gap! Use Layer Ovals Framelits with Spooky Cat stamp set to make your sentiment embellishment.

Starting TOMORROW! I will have projects all week from Saturday's Stamp-A-Palooza 2017! Please stop by tomorrow for a week of Palooza!

Now onto the next hopper!

Fall-ing In Love

DSCN6465

  Blogtour

Welcome to the blog hop!

Hi Everyone! My fall inspiration came from my nephew's upcoming fall wedding. I have been thinking about them a lot lately, and wanted to make them a card prior to the wedding.

I've been wanting to make a raised letter card and LOVE how easy it is to make this interesting look.

Steps to make:

  1. Stamp your card font. I used Gourd Goodness and Painted Harvest stamp sets. I stamped the pumpkins from Gourd Goodness then masked them off as shown. Then stamped Painted Harvest stamps around the mask.

DSCN6458

Here's with the mask removed. Add Wink of Stella.DSCN6459

2. Next, position your letters from Large Letters Framelits and die cut with the Big Shot.

DSCN6460 DSCN64613. Using paper scraps, die cut 4 sets of letters. The scraps should be in the card layer color or color family of tones in card.

DSCN6462

 4. Using Multi-purpose Glue, glue all 5 layers of the letters. (4 scraps and the stamped top letter).
DSCN6463

5. Assemble card saving the layered letter inserts until last - layer in the negative space where the original letter was die cut.

6. Stamp inside of card. Sentiment from Cheers to the Year.
