Glitter Queen's Blog Hop - Home for the Holidays
11/02/2017
Hi Everyone! Welcome the Glitter Queen's Monthly Blog Hop! Our November theme is Home for the Holidays.
My favorite holiday memories include making something as a youth during Christmas break. Santa always had a craft for me (Santa knows me so well!) Whether it was weaving pot holders, painting ceramic figures, or making those pour and bake bugs, I loved making stuff and you know what? Mom, Dad and my sisters always seemed to want in on it too!
So with our theme Home for the Holidays I wanted to show you 2 projects that I feel would create holiday memories- First, I just had to pick the Be Merry Kit. It's an All- Inclusive kit. That means you can open up and jump right in making! Whether you make with friends or family or by yourself, you can create these 12 GORGEOUS rosettes! It took me about 1-1/2 hours to make WITH interruptions from hubby.
You provide the hot glue and I recommend the Fine Tip Glue Pen too!
NOTE! The Be Merry Kit is on Back Order due in late November...plenty of time to make and enjoy in December! If you like it, I recommend going ahead and ordering and Stampin' UP! will ship to you as soon as it's back in stock late November
Use it for home décor such as part of a wreath, use on a tree or as package decorations! I can imagine enjoying them as a small tree décor, then use for last minute gift accents!
I also wanted to show you my variations. The kit shows inserting the tulle every other fan fold. I made some of mine with no tulle and all tulle! Feel free to mix up your kit! I also played around with the sentiment placement.

My 2nd project is an easy peezy lemon squeezy magnets and bracelets! They are made using clear glass domes called Cabochon, the 1" Circle Punch and Mulitpurpose Glue. WATCH OUT! These are addictive as you keep wanting to play around with different combos! :) You can check off those smaller gifts with this project! I have the links below on where to order if you need help finding supplies.
How to make:
1) Stamp an image - color if a colorable image OR Stamp directly on Designer Paper OR Just use Designer Paper or Glimmer Paper.
2) Punch out using the 1" Circle Punch if using either the 1" Cabochon Clear Round Tile or the 1-1/8" Cabochon Round Tile.
3) Cover the back of the tile with Multipurpose Glue - a thin layer - TIP use an inexpensive paint brush to spread a light, even coat.
4) Add you punched element so you can see through the bubble side. Allow to completely dry.
5) Add a strong magnetic to the back using Multipurpose Glue OR add to jewelry. A bracelet is used here but they have necklace choices too!
I found non-Stampin' UP! supplies on Amazon:

Click here for Magnetics They are little but mighty!
Click here for the Bracelet - the 1" Cabachon Tiles fit this bracelet.
The Brushwork Alphabet stamp set works perfect as a Monogram Element! Here I stamped the letter directly on the Designer Paper and punched out (didn't I tell you it was easy!) Hot glue it into the bracelet and you have around a $2.50 gift!
For Seasonal Chums stamped images (snowman and reindeer)- I stamped using Memento Black Ink unto Thick Whisper White Cardstock and used the NEW Stampin' Blends to color! Click here to check out my Stampin' Blends Marker Club!
Here's the Stampin' UP! products I used. All the paper was from my scraps :)
