Halloween Family Fun Day

DSCN4743Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA this month. My schedule should open up for getting back to all of you :) Sunday, family and friends came over for a Halloween Family Fun Day! We made tulle witches' skirts and lions' mane as well as a ghost foot print.

For the mane and the skirt - take ~ 6-8" tulle strips and tie in knots around an elastic ban. I'm no sewer and velcro closures worked great. Tip: It will take you more tulle than you think. The more tulle the fuller the mane and skirt.

DSCN4734 DSCN4735Tulle Tip #2 - the adults pretty much made. It's a little too redundant for the kids and you need to tie lots of knots. The youth probable could do on own but we had too many distractions :)

Project #2- Pinterest inspired Smell My Feet

DSCN4732Take white craft paint and paint the bottoms of feet. Step unto Basic Black cardstock. The heels are the ghost heads Add the phrase Trick or Treat Smell My Feet. We used 1/2" circle punch to make ghost eyes.Use same punch to punch holes at top and add ribbon to hang your creations.

Tip! The children sat on chairs while the adults painted their feet. Place the cardstock on the floor and have the kids stand dirctly up on the cardstock (don't move feet) and sit back down.

The little ones are either my great nephews or team members' children. My nephew (the dad) came (great to have a man craft!) and my niece from college surprised me by showing up too! All was getting into the spirit of the day. And I must get my silliness from my mamma as she rocked the funky witch look with my props!

So I hope all left our day with a set of new memories!

Bat Wings and Grinch Fingers - Team Food Tents!

DSCN4661Hi Everyone! At our team meeting Saturday, we made Halloween themed food tents for our carry-in. I made 'bat wings'. Okay..really hubby Jeff made the wings with my favorite way to make - baked with a light spinkling ofTastefully Simple Seasoning Salt. The last 10 minutes - brush Baby Ray's BBQ sauce on top. YUM!  I used Word and printed Bat Wings onto Whisper White Cardstock. Deco Labels Framelits were used to cut layers. Bat stamp was from Freaky Friends.

Davette made Grinch Fingers!

DSCN4664Better known as grilled asparagus. Seriously, she makes the best Grinch faces! Apothocary Accents framelit makes for a perfect Grinch chin and smile. LOVE th fuzzy top!

Rita had a crazy busy week and still managed to make this amazing dessert!

DSCN4662Sugar cookie dough, peanut butter, and candy with a frosting drizzle.

Thanks Davette and Rita for the fun night of food and stamping! I need to share our team project with the other Designer Paper Dolls first, then I'll share with all of you!
