Glitter Queen's Blog Hop - Home for the Holidays

Bemerrygq Logov3

Hi Everyone! Welcome the Glitter Queen's Monthly Blog Hop! Our November theme is Home for the Holidays

My favorite holiday memories include making something as a youth during Christmas break. Santa always had a craft for me (Santa knows me so well!) Whether it was weaving pot holders, painting ceramic figures, or making those pour and bake bugs, I loved making stuff and you know what? Mom, Dad and my sisters always seemed to want in on it too!

So with our theme Home for the Holidays I wanted to show you 2 projects that I feel would create holiday memories- First,  I just had to pick the Be Merry Kit. It's an All- Inclusive kit. That means you can open up and jump right in making! Whether you make with friends or family or by yourself, you can create these 12 GORGEOUS rosettes! It took me about 1-1/2 hours to make WITH interruptions from hubby.

You provide the hot glue and I recommend the Fine Tip Glue Pen too!

NOTE! The Be Merry Kit is on Back Order due in late November...plenty of time to make and enjoy in December! If you like it, I recommend going ahead and ordering and Stampin' UP! will ship to you as soon as it's back in stock late November

Use it for home décor such as part of a wreath, use on a tree or as package decorations! I can imagine enjoying them as a small tree décor, then use for last minute gift accents!

DSCN6574I also wanted to show you my variations. The kit shows inserting the tulle every other fan fold. I made some of mine with no tulle and all tulle! Feel free to mix up your kit! I also played around with the sentiment placement.

My 2nd project is an easy peezy lemon squeezy magnets and bracelets! They are made using clear glass domes called Cabochon, the 1" Circle Punch and Mulitpurpose Glue. WATCH OUT! These are addictive as you keep wanting to play around with different combos! :) You can check off those smaller gifts with this project!  I have the links below on where to order if you need help finding supplies.

How to make:
1) Stamp an image - color if a colorable image OR Stamp directly on Designer Paper OR Just use Designer Paper or Glimmer Paper.
2) Punch out using the 1" Circle Punch if using either the 1" Cabochon Clear Round Tile or the 1-1/8" Cabochon  Round Tile.
3) Cover the back of the tile with Multipurpose Glue - a thin layer - TIP use an inexpensive paint brush to spread a light, even coat.
4) Add you punched element so you can see through the bubble side. Allow to completely dry.
5) Add a strong magnetic to the back using Multipurpose Glue OR add to jewelry. A bracelet is used here but they have necklace choices too!

Magnets2I found non-Stampin' UP! supplies on Amazon:
the Cabachon Round Tiles on Amazon - Click here to see the 1"...and Click here to see the 1-1/8"
Click here for Magnetics  They are little but mighty!
Click here for the Bracelet - the 1" Cabachon Tiles fit this bracelet.

The Brushwork Alphabet stamp set works perfect as a Monogram Element! Here I stamped the letter directly on the Designer Paper and punched out (didn't I tell you it was easy!) Hot glue it into the bracelet and you have around a $2.50 gift!

For Seasonal Chums stamped images (snowman and reindeer)- I stamped using Memento Black Ink unto Thick Whisper White Cardstock and used the NEW Stampin' Blends to color! Click here to check out my Stampin' Blends Marker Club!

Here's the Stampin' UP! products I used. All the paper was from my scraps :)

VID02897Hi Everyone! I finished making the Oh Happy Day All-Inclusive Kit last night.'s my new favorite kit. It's so bright and cheerful. It makes 20 cards and includes everything you need to make the cards. The only exception is adhesive. I found I needed both Multipurpose Glue and Glue Dots. The kit took me approximately 2 hours to complete. I did it over 2 nights. The first night I did all the stamping then staged each card's embellishments. The second night I assembled the cards.

What is AWESOME is it comes in the really nice box that ready for gift-giving!

Here's an overview in video!

Christmas in July Card Folder - And It's a Kit To Go

This Is Christmas

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my Christmas in July Kick Off!  And thanks to fellow demonstrator Tanja Rath from Germany (I think) for sharing her inspiration! Her folder needed 12x12 cardstock and I modified it so we could use 8-1/2x11 cardstock ....which means you can make this with the coordinating Cardstock Pack...WOO HOO! Here's Tanja's link to her project.

DSCN6075I layered up the insides and pockets. Tomorrow's post will show the cards I created to go inside!

This is Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper is PERFECT for a little mass producing. BIG benefits with this holiday paper pack - 24 sheets, 4 each of 6 double-sided designs which means you have plenty of LIKE cards and folders. A normal pack is 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 designers. NOTE - the paper is lighter weight than typical SU Designer Paper. Which I find nice for making envelopes too.

Video Tutorial up later today! Update! Here it is:

14 Days of Valentines: Day 5 - Pyramid Pals Valentine's Treat Holders

Pyramid Pals

Hi Everyone! OMGoodness! Pyramid Pals Bundle is soooo stinkin' cute! You can make one box out of a 1/2 sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock (in other words - 2 per sheet!). If you have ever assembled Curvy Keepsake Thinlit Box, it's the same idea.

Pp3Above is 2 cut outs to form the box. TIP! Stamp any spots or extras prior to assembly. I die cut the ears and nose for this puppy pyramid. Add eyes and mouth using Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. I also add a little glitter using the new Wink of Stella glitter pen!

Kids would LOVE stamping and stuffing treats in these for Valentines' Day. (or any other occasion!) The box isn't big but big enough for a snack size treats.

I prefer the Mulitpurpose Glue to Tear & Tape when putting together. On my pig, I used Tear & Tape and the points are hard (for me) to line up and stay. With the glue - you can go all the way to the point.

Add a glitter heart and you're ready to give as a Valentine's treat!

General Instructions: Die cut pyramids. Stamp prior to assembly. Use Liquid Multipurpose Glue to glue bottoms together as well as one side of the box. Tuck in treats and tuck in back side (don't glue unless you don't mind them ripping open for the treats!) Punch at glitter hearts. Die cut noses/ears and attach with Glue Dots and Stampin Dimensionals.
